Commuter Bus Graphics Maintenance Program: Repainting & New Decals
Project Overview:
Commuter Bus 50 Unit Repaint and New Graphics Program.
Project Details:
Location: Maryland, USA
Scope of Project:
Repainting and Decal Removal: The existing vinyl decals on the buses were removed, followed by repainting the buses to ensure a fresh and uniform surface for the new graphics.
New Graphics: The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) provided the new graphics. INPS was responsible for printing these graphics and delivering 50 sets of decal kits to the MTA.
Decal Application and Bus Delivery: After printing, INPS managed the application of the new vinyl decals on the buses and ensured the buses were delivered as per the project’s schedule.
Project Management: INPS oversaw the entire process, ensuring coordination between the different phases of the project—from decal removal, repainting, and graphics application to final delivery.
Color Matching: Ensuring that the colors of the new graphics matched the MTA’s specifications was a crucial aspect of the project, especially after the buses were repainted.
Vinyl Graphics and 3M Film: The decals were printed using 3M film, known for its durability and quality, providing a long-lasting solution for the buses’ exterior branding.
Installation: The final step involved the meticulous application of the new graphics, ensuring alignment, adhesion, and a professional finish.
This project demonstrates INPS’ capabilities in handling large-scale transportation projects that require detailed coordination, technical expertise in vinyl graphics, and high standards in execution.
