Exterior Graphics Overhaul for Light Rail Vehicles
Project Overview: INPS was contracted to manage the exterior graphics overhaul for 110 MARC II and MARC III cars as part of a mid-life refurbishment program. This comprehensive project involved the removal, supply, and installation of a range of exterior graphics designed to enhance the rail vehicles’ functionality and appearance.
Challenge:
The exterior graphics overhaul included the application of multiple critical elements, such as:
- Window Removal Instructions
- MARC Logo
- Maryland Logo
- Wheelchair Symbol
- Exterior Stripe
- Washroom Symbol
The total decal area covered approximately 1000 square feet per unit. All vinyl materials used for this project were high-quality 3M products, ensuring durability and adherence to the vehicles’ surfaces.
Solution: The project was successfully completed within the specified timeframe, enhancing the visual appeal and branding consistency of MARC’s fleet. INPS’s attention to detail in color matching and graphic application contributed to the overall success of the mid-life overhaul, ensuring that the vehicles maintained their professional appearance while improving their functionality.
